About the role
The Pricing Team at Beat is responsible for developing the product experiences, pricing features, algorithms and platforms that enable the Beat app to be a reliable and motivating source of earnings for hundreds of thousands of drivers, while at the same time ensuring affordable transportation pricing for millions of passengers.
The team works in the dynamic, agile environment and delivery-based culture of a product-oriented company.
As a Pricing Product Manager at Beat, you will work with a team of incredibly talented engineers, data scientists, designers and UX researchers to build tools and technology that provide the best pricing solutions in a real-
time, dynamic, supply-demand driven marketplace. Our team is responsible for highly visible features of the passenger and driver app including the Dynamic Pricing, personalised pricing, and driver incentives planning tools.
On top of that, we define and iterate on a full suite of pricing features and strategies such as waiting fees, long-pickup fees, driver Dynamic Pricing (DP) algorithm, and loyalty incentives.
The Pricing team also develops the platforms to monitor, analyze and flawlessly deliver these pricing strategies that create world class experiences for our partners.
What you'll do day in day out :
Act as an ambassador for the team’s projects, both internally and externally, and as the primary technical contact for any queries related to team projects and systems
Build and own the product roadmap for the Pricing product team. Define a narrative for how that roadmap aligns with company-
level and regional business priorities.
Develop scope documents and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of Epics / User stories for implementation
Drive innovation, research, design and planning of entirely new products and features. Challenge your cross-functional team to think boldly and channel that energy into concrete action
Clearly communicate plans, insights, data and results to a spectrum of audiences including executives, fellow product teams, and other decision-makers across Beat
Work with both stakeholders and the senior management teams to analyze market and growth needs, and align the project roadmaps to strategic goals, both technical and business
Stay up-to-date with state of the art technology evolutions within your domain, ensure sustainable technology modernization in tandem with pursuing business priorities
What you need to have :
At least 3-5 years of experience with pricing, strategy or other data driven role; preferably in high technology companies.
Results and metrics-oriented. You create clear definitions of success and guide prioritization and ideation against that.
Focused on building businesses, not features
You do not have to have prior experience as a Product Manager, but it would be considered a big bonus if you did.
Strong customer empathy, with an ability to transform complex data and customer insights into a prioritized roadmap
A growth mindset. A deep desire to learn.
Experience partnering with cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, and designers to deliver extraordinary products
Academic background or equivalent work experience in computer science, data science, statistics, economics or engineering highly preferred
Good understanding of agile development methodologies will be a plus specifically, we employ well-defined variations on Scrum and Kanban throughout Beat Engineering.
