Job Description

The interim will be seconded and work under the supervision of the Greek authorities in performing the following tasks :

  • Provide direct support to the Greek authorities in ongoing procurement procedures;
  • Support in the development, management, and streamlining procurement procedures and international contracts in line with Greek and EU relevant procurement rules and regulations, including development of tools, on-
  • the-job coaching and seminars / workshops as needed;
  • Support in monitoring the implementation of ongoing tender procedures (preparation, evaluation, verification), including development of tools, on-
  • the-job coaching and seminars / workshops as needed;
  • Support in planning, extraction and provision of information, data or statistics on financial, budgetary, contractual and other aspects of RIS, including development of tools, on-
  • the-job coaching and seminars / workshops as needed;
  • Support in planning, monitoring and reporting of funding for ongoing projects, including development of tools, on-the-
  • job coaching and seminars / workshops as needed;
  • Support in devising internal review mechanisms for identifying implementation problems and adjusting activities and introducing support mechanisms, including development of tools, on-
  • the-job coaching and seminars / workshops as needed;
  • Participate in meetings and liaise with internal and external stakeholders under the supervision of the Greek authorities;
  • Draft documents, templates, minutes and reports;
  • Provide regular analytical and statistical reports of provided services and challenges;
  • Perform any other tasks in the interest of the service, relevant for the specific profile
  • Candidates Profile

  • University degree preferred and advantageous;
  • Previous Experience in Procurement is required, preferably in the public sector;
  • Very good understanding of the Greek public procurement procedures is required;
  • Fluency in Greek and in English (oral and written);
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel), use of internet and web based applications;
  • Excellent intercultural / interdisciplinary communication skills;
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
