Role purpose

This role forms a critical part of Vodafone’s new Creative Insourcing Solution (the Creative Ecology). Responsible for and the primary lead on creating digital and social creative assets for digital communications- Social, Display, Programmatic, Search.

Taking full accountability for all creative production for all digital disciplines. This change reflects the next phase of digital transformation at Vodafone and an emphasis on delivering against its operating principles of transparency, ownership and independence.

Success in this role at Vodafone depends heavily on the appointee’s credible expertise and experience regarding the communication industry and across multiple creative suite solutions, as well as their competence to manage and direct the newly formed digital insourced creative team members.

Their ability to work well in an extremely fast-paced and demanding environment and their skilfulness to collaborate and influence across teams will be critical.

Role specific headlines

At least 5 years of creative and production experience in the digital marketing and communication field. Expected to have an understanding of the wide advertising disciplines.

Also an eye for clean, artful / strong aesthetics design and deliver people-centric designs for new product launches design content and provide continual optimisation and enhancements to Vodafone digital assets.

Must have a track-record of performing effectively to tight deadlines. Good communication skills essential, independent and strong work ethic.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

  • Proven experience of participation in 360 campaigns working with a creative agency or equivalent;
  • Expertise in delivering brand consistency across multiple communication channels;
  • Proven experience of working across an assorted number of projects, able to solve problems, receive and interpret feedback and keep within strict and tight deadlines;
  • A firm grasp of interaction design and user experience design, motion graphics and video editing;
  • Proven track-record of driving teams. directing projects and creating impact;
  • Proven experience in supporting and managing junior members of creative team;
  • Excellent knowledge of the digital landscape;
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and project management skills;
  • Own a portfolio of work that demonstrates a wide experience of strategic and brand acumen, ideation, strong sense of typography and branding;
  • repurposing and reforming concepts into digital assets amplifying concepts and brand story; as well as experience into UX / UI design skills, problem solving and working with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms (e.

  • g. desktop and mobile, Android and iOS);
  • Ability to present and sell across various stakeholders;
  • Solid knowledge of Search, PPC, Social Media and Programmatic operational / technology platforms;
  • Up-to-date with the latest UX / UI trends, technologies and techniques;
  • Experience with DCO (Dynamic Creative Optimisation) technology will be advantageous;
  • Experience of communication / advertising in the industries of telco, technology brands and / or international brands will be advantageous.
  • Must have technical / professional qualifications

  • At least 5 years of creative production experience as a Senior Designer, Graphic Designer, Senior Art Director or similar one;
  • Experience with HTML and the Adobe Creative Suite, (advanced user of Photoshop with experience of illustrator and InDesign and an understanding of Dreamweaver), CSS and JavaScript will be advantageous;
  • Experience with creative systems, tools and processes and other visual design and other wire-framing tools will be an asset;
  • Expertise in working with Digital Asset Management platforms and other asset-storage platforms will be an asset;
  • BSc / MSc in design, digital communications, visual arts or related;
  • Languages : Proficient in English- oral and written skills
