Description
We currently have a vacancy for a Data Engineer to work as an expert at the premises of the company in Athens and / or remotely.
Main responsibilities and Tasks :
Participate in the design and implementation of databases, ETLs, BI reports, along with web development teams;
Migration of database / ETL changes across environments;
Develop / maintain data models;
Monitor server performance of application databases;
Maintain access rights;
Write technical documentation;
Install and configure the respective tools.
Requirements
University degree in Computer Science or Information Technology;
Strong knowledge of database theory and experience in data modelling;
Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and "NoSQL" databases (time series databases, Cassandra, MongoDB);
Experience with some of the database migration tools (Flyway, Liquibase);
Competence in Python or Java, PL / SQL or T-SQL;
Experience with Linux, Solaris, Windows operating systems;
Excellent command of English;
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Ability to work under pressure and to deliver high quality results within tight deadlines.
