As part of its growth initiatives, Public has established Public Capital Partners , a new investment vehicle that will lead minority investments in Greek B2C and B2B tech-enabled companies.

Primary sectors of focus include Retail Tech, Fintech, Logistics, Payments, EdTech & Entertainment, and Analytics.

We are looking to hire an Investment Associate to become an integral part of our new investment team.

The team has a very flat structure, giving the opportunity to regularly interface with the top executives and key internal and external stakeholders.

Lets get the game started!

Your Mission :

Proactive in sourcing interesting companies with strong growth potential based on investment focus, qualitative and quantitate metrics, geographical focus, and management team capabilities

Expand our network in the existing tech start-up ecosystem so we identify great partners early on

Lead deep dives, industry analysis, and market mapping of relevant sectors

Assess inbound deal flow and be able to gain an understanding of new technologies in order to decide on the right opportunities

Research and investment memo preparation for presentation to the Investment Committee

Support due diligence efforts and relevant documentation preparation

Review portfolio updates, analyze, summarise, and present conclusions to the team

Support existing portfolio companies as well as connecting them with potential customers, partners and investors

Manage the portfolio including performance management, follow-on rounds, and exits as required

Your Armory :

Entrepreneurial with a growth mindset and proven experience / interest in start-up investing and technology

Ideally 3-5 years investing / business / management consulting experience with involvement in the Greek or the European start-up ecosystem

Excellent communicator, with strong influencing and writing skills in English as well as the ability to think in business and financial terms

Experience in tech investing including financial modelling, cap table management, liquidation preference calculation, term sheet preparattion

Incredibly organized, with an innate sense of how to prioritize with attention to detail

Proactive, forward-thinking, able to anticipate problems and present solutions
