The Site Reliability Engineer will be supporting Private and Public Cloud based environments on the EngageOne and Rapid CX teams.
This is an ambitious role that will create a vital link between Developers, Application Architects, Product and Technical support teams.
The ideal candidate has strong technical skills and enjoys solving complex problems across components and technologies.
You will :
Deployment Automation Solutions Development and Testing : Develop and test deployment automation solutions; adhering to change management process.
Introduce and implement better tools to enhance DevOps and SRE practices.
Build Architecture and Automation : Implement / Support development release build infrastructure. Engineer and architect solutions to meet stakeholders needs.
Deploy new cloud services and enhance CICD pipeline capabilities within cloud based hosted solutions. Implementing automated scaling and deployment infrastructure based on customer needs.
Automation Solutions Knowledge Transfer : Serve as a point person to enable knowledge transfer of automation solutions.
Communication & Work Coordination : Effectively exchange information in order to interpret the needs of employees, respond to their needs, and achieve satisfaction;
teach varying levels of business, technology, processes & procedures to groups or individuals. Organize and prioritize work, respond to conflicting business needs, and work collaboratively with a group of people to produce products or services.
Providing continues feedback to the wider Engineering organization on elements which could improve the overall service
Increasing cloud services, application reliability and availability through process improvement. Develop automation solutions and / or procure solutions in optimizing manual operational work.
Modification to existing (legacy) customer configurations, bringing them in-line with current hosted managed standards
Participate in on-call problem escalation and outage recovery efforts related to cloud and on prem hosted solutions. Optimizing application monitoring tool stack including fine tuning actionable alerts, process improvements, major Incident review and enhancements to reduce recovery time.
Being an advocate of knowledge sharing, completing documentation. Performing routine audits of systems, upgrading and patching them accordingly.
Support physical and virtual infrastructure, identifying tuning and optimization opportunities while correcting hardware issues.

You have :
4+ years of experience
Experience of AWS technologies (for example : VPC, IAM, EFS, EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, WAF, SES, SNS, SQS).
Experience with Linux and Linux scripting in an enterprise environment.
Familiarity with Java, XML, HTML, PL / SQL, Spring, SQL and experience with programming languages (for example Python).
Working knowledge of best practices when using Gitlab / Gitlab Pipelines.
Experience of creating Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
Experience of Packer and Ansible for AMI provisioning.
Nice to have :
Application development experience.
SDLC implementation experience, particularly in the design and development phases.
Enterprise operational experience with Apache Kafka, Elastic Search / ELK stack, Java web services.
