About the opportunity

Join Sanofi’s Talent Acquisition Team as Europe External Workforce Lead (Remote based Europe). In this role, you will be responsible for managing the scope and delivery of the Contingent Labour and Managed Services Program across selected countries in Europe.

Reporting to the Head of Talent Europe, you will ensure a high-quality user experience and customer service excellence for the hiring managers.

You will also focus on designing strategic change initiatives to increase program adoption with local stakeholders (Procurement, HR, HR Services), drive vendor performance and optimise savings.

Finally, you will be a key member of the Global network of external workforce subject matter experts.

This job is linked to the deployment of a MSP ( Flext ) program which aims at creating value and cost efficiencies through the implementation of a harmonised operating model for external workforce and managed services across the European region.

Owned by HR, by streamlining Workforce strategies our plan is to ultimately enable a Total Workforce strategic approach, contributing to ensure the availability of skills and capabilities for now and for the future.

Primary duties & responsibilities

  • Drive roadmap deployment of External Workforce programs and related VMS (vendor management system) technology to support the company Play to Win strategic business objectives.
  • Act as Project Lead for the implementation for new projects, programs and technology related to External Workforce programs.
  • Act as main point of contact and represent the Program for internal clients (e.g. Procurement, HR Services) as well as external vendors.
  • Educating Sanofi stakeholders on best-in-class external workforce solutions, legislative changes and adjustments required to minimize financial and legal risks.
  • Act as primary owner of External Workforce related processes, ensuring program operations are meeting or exceeding expectations, complying with Sanofi standards and local / European legislation.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to review and optimize Preferred Supplier list across Europe.
  • Collaborate with Finance to analyse external workforce invoicing process, leading to improved cash flow and accuracy.
  • Create and drive a strategy for translating business needs into appropriate external staffing solutions (agency temp vs contingent worker vs managed services provider solutions) as well as educate the business and HR in this field.
  • Lead business reviews to evaluate External Workforce program performance, metrics and overall effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Partner with Sanofi’s Legal, Human Resources, Finance, Compliance, Security, and other partners and stakeholders as appropriate, to ensure the programs are appropriately aligned with and representative of company policy and strategy in these areas.
  • Ensure mechanisms exist and are reviewed for performance metrics and efforts to assess vendor effectiveness. Where necessary, collaborate with above mentioned partners to drive cost savings, vendor analysis, optimization strategies for staffing suppliers.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners on defining talent strategies for contingent labor vs. FTEs.
  • Build a partnership with the strategic MSP partner in Europe and ensure delivery of best-in-class service to internal clients to meet critical business needs.
  • About you

    Qualifications / Education & work experience

  • Experienced professional in the External / Contingent workforce topic, with a partnership and consultative mindset, relevant Change Management skills to coordinate the External Workforce community within Europe.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years business experience, with at least 5 years of experience working as MSP Professional or with a combination of : Procurement of Professional Services, Contingent Labour, 3rd Party Recruiting or Agency recruitment solutions.
  • Knowledge of the European external workforce solutions market (MSP-VMS Programs).
  • Competencies

  • Track record of creating strong networks and collaborative relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proven ability to facilitate meetings and give presentations to senior management.
  • Ability to proactively anticipate issues, develop / improve processes, and influence outcomes.
  • Project leadership / management experience, including building strategy and business cases.
  • Transition / change management experience.
  • Analytical (data-driven) mindset and proven track record of developing, tracking, and presenting data, and drawing business conclusions from data.
  • Tech savvy (technology and innovation driven).
