The State Office of Finance (LfF) is responsible for setting and paying the salaries and pensions of civil servants, the remuneration of employees, and the allowances for pension recipients and employees of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.

With the introduction of the Integrated Personnel Management and Payroll Accounting System (IPEMA®) for the state administration of Rhineland-Palatinate, the IPEMA® - Service -Center (ISC) was installed as a central unit for the maintenance of regular operations, adaptation or expansion of the IPEMA® system, service management, and control and monitoring of all payroll runs.

The Integrated Personnel Management System - IPEMA® based on the standard software SAP ERP 6.0 was introduced in the Rhineland-Palatinate state administration and is operated at the State Office of Finance.

We are looking for immediately at the location Koblenz a

IT Application Expert (SAP Customizing) (m / f / d).

Your tasks - you

  • Provide 2nd level support for our nationwide IT system, focusing on SAP applications based on SAP HCM (the focus is on the IPEMA® portal application and the backend systems and themes connected to it).
  • Analyze the faults, propose a solution and implement it in conjunction with service providers and the end users (software customizing);
  • document the analysis, the solution and the implementation steps;
  • process customer requirement and defect tickets and perform associated business analysis;
  • plan and perform tests (due to extensive system changes or regular maintenance);
  • advise our developers on the content problem analysis and in the context of the tests (e.g. by supplying test data);
  • help with the analysis of support packages and oversee any necessary pre- and post-processing in the IPEMA® system.
  • Your profile - you

  • have a degree in the field of administrative sciences, business administration or information technology respectively professional experience in the field of software customizing or business analysis;
  • have knowledge of the German language at the level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
  • possess a strong customer and service orientation; ideally complemented by experience in IT support or customer service;
  • think and act economically while maintaining high quality standards;
  • have strong communication skills and the requirement to critically analyze and design work processes;
  • are a team player and appreciate values such as fairness and commitment;
  • have the ability to work independently and carefully, even under time pressure;
  • have a high willingness to perform and learn;
  • bring very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Word, Excel and Power Point;
  • complement your profile with process knowledge from human resources and ideally first experience with SAP systems.
