The Manager, Data Integration Engineer will be on a team responsible for executing the technical strategies, architecture, system designs and solutions development to enable the Digital Manufacturing organization business processes as it relates to the PGS Production System and some of the major COVID-19 Vaccine Production initiatives.

The colleague will be accountable for leading data integration activities within the team to enable advanced, innovative, and scalable cloud-based database services and data platforms for data engineering, analytics, business intelligence & insights.

This person will be working in a DevOps team that build microservices as containers using open-source technology and CI / CD pipelines for software delivery automation.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Manager, Data Integration Engineer’s responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Maintaining Data Integration Services

Developing and support data integration components

Fixing data integration issues, preparing necessary patches

Automating builds and deployments of data integration services

Data analytics support (data marts, visualization, data mining)

Supporting development teams in data integration related troubleshooting

Writing documentation for data integration services

Participating in relevant SAFe ceremonies and meetings within the program

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education : Bachelor’s degree required

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Good knowledge of relational and document databases (PostgreSQL and MongoDB preferred)

Extensive experience with Java for implementing data integration capabilities

Extensive knowledge of data integration patterns and related challenges

Extensive experience with ETL (using either Java, Python, R, Scala)

Familiarity with Data Warehousing and Data Visualization tools

Familiarity of Agile (Scrum) and SAFe methodologies

Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

Proactive approach and goal-oriented mindset, research, problem solving and analytical skills

Ability and willingness to mentor less experienced team members

Great organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at the same time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Pharmaceutical Experience

Familiarity with microservices and containers

Familiarity with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka)

Familiarity with automation tools and CI / CD pipelines (Ansible, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)

Experience delivering solutions with the following attributes : PostgreSQL, MongoDB databasesJava, Python, R, ScalaSpark, Impala, Kafka, PrestoKubernetes, Containers, MicroservicesAI
