So what’s the challenge

The Applications Support Engineer acts as the technical liaison between end users, business owners and 3rd party vendors analysing and supporting IT applications in the OPAP Group, related to Finance, HR, procurement or other areas.

Your day to day will include :

  • Providing 1st and 2nd level application operations support and follow up on incidents and problems
  • Participating in analysis and design of solutions to production issues
  • Transposing business requirements to technical functional specifications
  • Creating and participating in software testing scenarios (in close collaboration with Quality Assurance team)
  • Working with trainers to develop, update and review manuals and documentation, and to organize end-user training
  • Analysing, designing and implementing new reports or small-scale improvements and integration points for existing Financial-related applications
  • Performing, assisting or coordinating reconciliations
  • Maintaining a collaborative working relationship with project stakeholders
  • What you need to succeed :

  • BSc / MSc in Computer Science or Information Systems Management or related field.
  • 2+ years of recent professional experience in operations and support of HRMS, Payroll, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems with focus on at least one of the following areas : Accounting, Treasury Management Systems, Procurement or Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Experience with SAP will be appreciated
  • Participation in large-scale Financial projects and experience in migration projects will be positively considered
  • Sound knowledge and hands-on experience on reporting tools
  • Customer / End User facing experience in successfully setting and managing customer expectations
  • SQL knowledge and light script programming skills in MS SQL Server, Oracle or other relational DBMS
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, oral and written, in Greek and English, both in technical and non-technical language
  • Strong planning, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Highly motivated, initiative-driven, team player attitude
  • Fulfilled military obligations (for male candidates)
