About Datamolino

Datamolino is a SaaS web-app that automates the bookkeeping process for businesses and accounting firms. It automatically captures data from purchase bills and receipts, automates the followup bookkeeping tasks and exports the results into cloud accounting software such as Xero and Quickbooks Online.

Datamolino also provides APIs for other developers that want to implement our service within their app. Doing business since 2013, Datamolino is a well-established, full-remote company with customers around the world, mainly in the UK, EU, Australia and Singapore.

TL : DR : Why Datamolino?

This is more or less "full-stack / generalist" position.

You will be working alongside senior developers. Our motivation is that you become the best possible developer and we provide you with opportunities to grow your skills.

You will work with us on new features that automate business processes for our business clients. Your work will have direct impact on customers.

We are a small team with high level of individual impact and accountability. Our team is using the Shape Up method (from the creators of Basecamp) to ship work that matters.

We are running Ruby 3 and Rails 6 (soon on Rails 7) .

This is an opportunity to grow your skills working with senior Rails developers.

Fully remote position where you have control of your time and flexible hours.

What we expect from you :

Open mind and willingness to study ruby / rails, existing conventions, documentation and legacy code

Good English communication skills (internal communication is mostly written, but we have some calls too)

IT / Technical University education is a plus

Knowledge and experience from accounting / book-keeping space is a plus

Knowledge of Linux or MacOS

Knowledge of Ruby and Rails

Knowledge of PostgreSQL

Knowledge of html / css / JS

Introductory call

You show us some of your recent code and / or complete a small challenge that is focused to understand how you problem-solve and communicate about assignments.

Fairly quick YES / NO so we do not waste your time.
