Essential Responsibilities

Developing and maintaining data flows and applications (i.e. Alteryx, Python, SQL Server, Apache NiFi)

Developing and Monitoring of pipelines on Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, etc.)

Develop data architectures and data models including ETL staging models using Synapse, Alteryx, Python.

Ability to work in SQL Server and / or Cloud based DB technology to create and maintain data marts / delta lakes

Administration of data platforms like SQL Server, Apache NiFi, Business Objects, Data Services, Windows Servers

Troubleshooting and performance tuning of SQL Server Code and design (SQL Profiler, Indexes, Partitions, etc.)

Support the BI team as well as the end users in the troubleshooting of Data Operations errors

Writing functional and technical specifications for the design and implementation of analytical solutions

Demonstrated ability to communicate and work well in an agile team environment

Work with BI team, business users, and Project Managers to effectively deliver BI solutions on-time and on budget

Experience in the following topics will be considered a very strong asset

Ability to administer SQL Server Clusters (AlwaysOn availability groups) and Disaster Recovery

Ability to administer Linux servers

Experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex cross-system data issues

Position Requirements

Education :

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science preferred

Experience :

3+ years of experience working as a Data and ETL Developer

3+ years of experience supporting Data Operations

2+ years of customer interfacing experience project oversight, customer presentation

2+ years of experience as an Data Analyst

Skills / Knowledge :

Solid experience in the Data and Analytics space creating data marts and data flows

Support of Data Operations and related data platforms

Attention to detail and ability to focus on finding elegant solutions to existing data issues to promote data integrity
