In the framework of the emergency situation regarding the migrants, asylum seekers and refugees across Greece, IOM Athens is establishing a pool of candidates interested to join the organisation.
Core Functions / Responsibilities :
Under the direct supervision of the Field Coordinator and the overall supervision of the Project Coordinator, the incumbent will be accountable and have the following responsibilities :
The provision of medical services and first-degree healthcare to unaccompanied children;
Referring the beneficiaries when needed to second degree healthcare;
The conduction of regular visits at the Hotel Accommodation Facilities which are operated under the supervision of IOM with the aim to ensure the provision of accommodation and protection services to unaccompanied children;
The supervision of proper intake of medication of the beneficiaries;
The distribution / management of medical healthcare material;
The conduction of health orientation sessions to IOM colleagues and beneficiaries;
The participation in the organization of medical escorts missions, if applicable;
Collect and process migration health data and record beneficiaries’ files, according to guidelines established within the mission;
Ensure networking with Health actors;
Create and maintain a cohesive elaborate referral pathway;
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience :
Completed Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution preferably with 2 years of relevant work experience.
At least 2 years’ experience as a nurse;
Progressive experience in a similar function;
Experience working in international organizations, non-government or government institutions / organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage;
Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and to keep deadlines;
Computer literacy in standard software applications;
Fluency in Greek and English is required.

The position is subject to funding confirmation.
Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment and verification of residency, visa and authorizations by the concerned Government, where applicable.
Appointment will be subject to the provision of the relevant to the position degree(s), professional licenses and / or criminal record certificate.
