A well-executed human-centered design should ignite the creation of products that resonate more deeply with patients, HCP’s and Pfizer colleagues.

Human Centered Design will ultimately be responsible for driving engagement and growth. The Design Strategist will be responsible to work with cross functional teams to create and execute on design requirements for digital solutions.

This role will enable designers to focus on a design that encapsulates courage, excellence, equity, and joy. The candidate will be responsible for surfacing design requirements that will inspire product strategy.

The person in this important role will be essential to ensuring we deliver experiences that meet the needs of the people who use them.

This candidate will execute on methodologies that help designers validate their decisions as well as hold the project teams accountable for the details that ensure our solutions are frictionless, relevant, and intuitive.


  • Ensure that our customers are delivered Human Centered Designs through the cultivation of deep empathy with users of the solutions will serve
  • Lead meetings with global clients to develop detailed briefs and clarify design requirements of each project
  • Engage with clients to critically understand, reframe, and scope opportunities to ensure designs are seamlessly aligned to user needs and project goals, identifying the gaps that need to be filled via research activities
  • Apply your extensive knowledge of design research methodologies to develop plans to deliver novel, nuanced insights to improve design strategy
  • Craft user experience analytics strategy, helping our clients set performance KPI’s for the interactions we design.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of in scope experience design artifacts and assets, while keeping the team on schedule
  • Help continuously develop and enhance our team’s reputation by taking ownership for accomplishing new and different requests;
  • exploring opportunities to add value to organizational accomplishments

  • Monitor and analyze cadence of design projects and services, have responsibility for keeping current clients informed and the tea, delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis
  • Partner with consulting partners to manage overall project execution, providing coaching and feedback where necessary
  • Develop comprehensive design project plans to be shared with clients as well as other members of the team, ensuring that all design related activities are understood and planned for
  • Interact with clients throughout the duration of projects with a high degree of polish, professionalism, and reliability to ensure needs are met, changes are incorporated, and deliverables exceed expectations.
  • Be the primary point of contact for design phase of projects and build long-term relationships with orchestration, client partners, and designers
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Track design project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
  • Delegate and oversee project tasks carried out by on junior team members, helping them to develop their individual strengths and skillsets

  • 4+ years experience managing processes and workflows across a multidisciplinary team, including product designers, motion designers, production designers, UX writers, researchers and project managers
  • Expertise in Marvel, Invision or other similar prototyping tools
  • Expertise in Zeplin, or other similar tools for communicating design specifications
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, and proven ability to effectively get buy-in at all levels and across cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of and enthusiasm for, user centered design principles.
  • Ability to execute an appropriate assessment of technology in the competitive landscape
  • Ability to conduct user research and testing with a variety of techniques
  • Ability to think critically; to recognize and anticipate a problem (technical, operational, process, organizational) and to identify and implement or communicate the best solution in a timely manner.
  • Superior communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, Communications, Information Technology orBusiness Management
  • 3+ years managing processes and procedures with user centered design
  • Proven experience in the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare Industry
  • Superior communication skills

  • Coordination with other Pfizer Digital staff to leverage shared services.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills paired with a background in application development, application or systems management.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with internal technical staff, management and vendors
  • Able to balance multiple project initiatives
  • Generation of appropriate documentation : project plans, requirements and design documents, use cases, storyboards
  • Demonstrated effective organization and time management
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under aggressive schedules
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
  • Ability to function in a dynamic work environment
