The Charalampopoulos lab in School of Medicine,
University of Crete is seeking a talented postdoctoral researcher to
study the role of the p75 pan-neurotrophin receptor in adult hippocampal
neurogenesis as a novel therapeutic approach to Alzheimer’s Disease.
This postdoc will assess the impact of p75 in neurogenesis in in vitro
and in vivo models (p75 KO / 5xFAD mice) of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Additionally, the postdoc will establish a 3D co-culture system of
several neural cell types (neural stem cells, neurons, astrocytes,
oligodendrocytes) and use this model for screening of therapeutic

1. Bachelor degree in Biology.
2. PhD degree in biomedical science.
3. Postdoctoral research experience in a University / Research Institute.
4. Research experience in human induced pluripotent stem cells, reprogramming and neural. differentiation.
