Role purpose :
Networks are our key asset and enabler to better serve new and existing customers. Vodafone is a rapidly changing company that constantly invests in improving and optimising the networks.
As part of this effort, we are looking for someone with a strategic mind-set to work within the Planning, Demand, Transform & Delivery, reporting to the Network Market Partner for Spain & Portugal and ensure the commercial strategies are well reflected into the Vodafone market network investments and plans.
This role requires a candidate with business acumen and knowledge of the overall telecoms market in Greece, who is passionate about technology, has experience with defining and communicating a business and technology strategy, and can engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders to scope out and develop a full End-end plan.
The candidate will contribute to the definition and evolution of the E2E Network Evolution plans and input into the overall Network strategy for fixed, mobile and converged networks, working with several stakeholders including Global and local Technology functions, Consumers and Corporate functions.
He / She will have significant analytical and numerical skills to model different future network scenarios considering traffic demand forecast, expected competitors’ developments, and commercial objectivesThe successful candidate should also keep abreast of the evolution of fixed and mobile technologies, the wider ecosystem, the regulatory environment, the consumer demand and the competitive environment, and help update internal plans accordingly.
Key accountabilities :
Engage with internal stakeholders, and external organisations to understand the key drivers, challenges and opportunities for the Network strategy, evolution and convergence
Lead the definition of the access NEP (Fixed & Mobile) and E2E NEP (Network Evolution Plan) consolidation, and contribute to the overall prioritisation of Vodafone Greece Networks budget in line with the commercial priorities and financial constraints
Develop numerical models to evaluate new business opportunities, estimate network costs driven by new service deployment, forecast end-to-end requirements based on demand forecast, in collaboration with the Traffic Modelling team
Responsible of the updated NW Competitive intelligence in the Market to ensure the Vodafone strategy is implemented in the most efficient way, minimizing the cost with reduced time to market
Responsible to provide strategy and economic advisers around the benefits that network investments will bring to Vodafone’s customers justification of spend, developing specific business cases.
Key deliverables :
Network Evolution Plan (one year / three years) for the technology area in scope for Greece
Defines the scope and cost modelling of business strategic projects pre-G0, to ensure feasible and prioritized activities
Supports preparation of annual DB / LRP plan build up in the market together to all documentation required for the CNO for the submission, ensuring maximum alignment within the Vodafone Strategy considering budget constraints and project prioritization in the market (mainly driven by market competition)
Core competencies, knowledge and experience :
Mobile Nw financial modelling and optimization experience highly recommended
Knowledge of E2E Network Architecture desirable
Proven Nw Modelling experience
Proven experience on Executive reporting
Financial acumen desirable
Must have technical / professional qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or other related discipline
Over 3 years’ experience in Network planning or similar
High knowledge of Excel
Good to Excellent on both communication skills and executive presentation
English High Level
