We’re running some of Norway’s most trusted and respected niche brands :

Biggest cooking recipe page in Norway. Thousands of delicious recipes to draw inspiration from.

Pro tip : don’t try working on it when you’re hungry

Won Magazine of the year in Årets mediepriser 2018

Tek is the most respected Norwegian review site. We deliver brilliant, crazy-detailed reviews of everything from mobile phones, pizza ovens to lawn mowers and strollers.

Trust me, there are only a few places on the Internet that take testing as seriously as we do. Getting the Best i test’ badge from Tek is a sign of pride and something that stores put on their own billboards across Norway.

Nominated as Niche Site of the Year 2020 and 2021 in Norway

Everybody checks the weather at least twice a day, so we got ourselves a weather forecast comparison site. Besides traffic, the most interesting part of it is probably its stack :

100% serverless front & back (next.js + serverless)

We’re a middle-sized team composed of a PM, 2 UXers and 7 fullstack developers, even though most of us started as front or back devs.

We’re located in Kraków, Gdańsk, Stockholm and Oslo so we’re used to cooperating remotely before it was even a thing.

Our code is 100% javascript (Next.js or bare React in the front, Koa / Hapi / Apollo GraphQL in the back). We keep a fair balance between typescript lovers and sceptics, use all the typical tools you’d expect e.

g. webpack, jest, eslint, build in Travis and deploy most of our portfolio to AWS (dockerized or serverless). We’re observability fanatics (aka Datadog fans), so in most cases we know something is down before they do.

We work in 2-week sprints, where it’s up to you to pick the tasks from an area you want to develop in the most. The tasks usually vary between styling, React, Node.

js, lambdas and infrastructure.

We do a fair bit of pair or mob programming whenever a single brain is not enough to see the light in the tunnel.

We love to experiment with the latest tech and dedicate every second Friday to doing just that. Always bleeding edge, always looking to make our products better for good and bad.

Besides that, we kick ass in Schibsted’s hack days ( 1st , 2nd and 2nd places in recent editions).

While coding is generally what we live for, we highly respect your personal time (no on-calls) and we remember that meeting each other face to face from time to time is not only healthy but also a lot of fun

It’s hard to get to know the team through a job ad, but you can try by watching us do some presentations :

  • In-depth look into Lambdas
  • Automatic dependency updates using Renovate
  • Frontend debugging tips and tricks
  • Technical SEO : part 1 and 2

We’re looking for a coding enthusiast , not somebody who blindly moves issues from to do’ to done’. We want you to always look at the code and think how you can improve it.

Over time, we want you to feel attached to our brands just as we all do almost as if they were our own startups.

As a senior developer, besides being a JS ninja, you’d also be expected to lead projects every once in a while, to plan and coordinate work of others, to be the go-to tech person for stakeholders and an example for junior teammates.

You need to be able to set a direction for our app and make sure we get there.
