Role Purpose :
The Scrum Master role an agile team role, with the purpose to provide support and facilitation of teams in their agile journey.
Being responsible for optimizing the team’s performance, Scrum master is responsible for identifying and removing impediments, improve team dynamics and evangelize Scrum in the rest of the organization.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership :
Monitor and optimize the application of agile practices throughout way of working and deliverables
Facilitate agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives and ensure the proper usage of tools
Promote team’s continuous improvement through retrospectives and learning
Coordinate with other delivery teams, stakeholders, and partners to manage risks, interdependencies and impediments
Support the Product Owner in ensuring right-sized story writing, aligning priorities, and planning sprint iterations
Support the team in delivering high quality deliverables and responding to change.
Track and manage risks and issues of the delivery team
Track, report and communicate current status delivery, changes in direction, and relevant metrics to avoid misalignment and roadblocks.
Act as an organizational enabler in the adoption of agile practices within the organization
Functional Skills, Credentials & Experience :
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field
Three to five years of work experience in at least two disciplines, such as business, information, solution architecture, application development, database management or operations in a multitier environment
Experience in designing and delivering complex capabilities, preferably in a digital business context
Experience in agile software development environment and methods preferred
Strong grounding in traditional project management practices
JIRA / Confluence, MS Project, or equivalent experience preferred
Professional experience and knowledge of the Telecommunications industry strongly preferred
