Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager for EU R&D Projects in Athens

The ideal candidate will manage and implement R&D projects (EU R&D and Innovation projects (H2020 & Horizon Europe (HE)).

The candidate is expected to have a strong background in EU R&D proposals’ and projects’ management, IT / software development, and technical writing.

Your main duties will include :

Management and implementation of R&D projects (EU R&D and Innovation projects (H2020 & HE)).

Assisting in the definition of project specifications, involving all relevant stakeholders / teams and ensuring technical feasibility and resource availability.

Ensuring the on-time and on-budget delivery of projects.

Tracking progress through a solid project plan.

Implementing quality control processes.

Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.

Managing stakeholders’ relationships and expectations.

Elaboration of deliverables for the technical, scientific and innovation related activities of an R&D project (state-of-art, requirements, conceptual architecture, specifications, implementation plans, innovation, exploitation, dissemination and communication planning, market analysis, business planning, etc.).

Organizing the project’s EU reporting tasks (activities, management, financial / costs).

Active engagement in business development activities, such as conception and writing of new research proposals; Finding new ideas, calls, partners;

Delivery of high-quality presentations at events; Networking; Establishing and maintaining relationships with third parties.

Participation in scientific and / or business publications.

Following the evolution of new technologies and identification of new concepts.

Reporting and escalating to management as needed.

If you have

PhD / MSc in IT, Computer Science or related fields

Proven experience in project management activities within software development field preferably with EU funded programs

Experience in areas such as software development and integration , development life-cycle methodologies , software architectures , Artificial Intelligence , Big Data , Data Analytics , IoT , Transportation / Mobility , Security , Manufacturing , etc.

Extensive experience with MS Project and other MS Office tools

Customer, Quality and Results-orientation

Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, ability to negotiate, and to cooperate with international partners and clients

Competency in technical writing

Strong problem solving, organizational and presentation skills

Agility and team spirit

Available for frequent travels & short-term missions

Excellent command of the English language (written & oral)
