Job scope / summary :

  • The supplies category in Central Europe is responsible for $1.3B ST and a significant contribution on Margin. To build on the current success and to set up the market for future growth we hire a Supplies Category Manager.
  • The supplies category manager will be part of an acknowledged and respected supplies professionals team. Experience in quarterly business management, and category management, in particular 4Ps is a must.

    The person is a recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge for the respective market / product portfolio / RTM.

    Experience in particular 4Ps, business acumen, feeling for supplies and market trends / opportunities, sales and customers, and forward-looking thinking is required.

  • Pending an internal re-organization decision the focus of this position is DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)
  • Job specifics / responsibilities :

  • Superior understanding of the category product, business management and sales challenges and strategies.
  • Actively contributes / leads the definition of the category business plan.
  • Establishes relationships and represents team with sales force, customers, partners as well as WW COE
  • Product line and quota responsibility for a significant share of the product range or market
  • Functional responsibility for the team in one or several areas (market analysis, marketing engagement, SF communication etc)
  • Key deliverables / accountabilities :

  • Responsible for quarterly quota and KPI’s
  • Monthly forecast, quarterly game plan, half-year quota negotiation and distribution, future planning
  • Support / enable / service country sales
  • Education (degree) and professional experience required :

  • University or Bachelors degree; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
  • Typically, 2+ years of professional experience with a combination of Marketing, Sales, Business Planning experience preferred.
  • Experience in virtual team environment
  • Other requirements :

  • Fluent in English - written and verbal
  • Fluent German - written and verbal
  • Other language knowledge would be an asset
  • Personal skills and qualities :

  • IT industry knowledge
  • Business planning skills, multidimensional
  • Financial planning and modelling skills, comfortable to manage high complexity business planning and reporting
  • Strong communication skills up to management internally and externally
  • Knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices
  • Negotiation skills and ability to frame the product value proposition to customers / partners
  • Cross functional expertise (sales, supply chain, marketing)
  • Understanding the CE / DACH market, and it's partner landscape
  • Print / supplies background
  • Strong communication skills
