Position objective :
To maximize the impact and exploit the potential of digital channels in order to support the Fundraising & Communications Department in increasing the number of donors and supporters and build a strong identity and brand awareness of MSF Greece.
Responsibilities of the position :
Strategy. Supports the FR & Comms Director in developing and implementing a digital marketing strategy to meet the fundraising and communication needs of MSF Greece.
Identifies growth opportunities for digital channels and works closely with colleagues in the FR & Comms Department building skills, experience and understanding of how digital marketing channels can support their work.
Content. Creates or commissions marketing content including writing persuasive texts, selecting appropriate images or developing original content.
Uses marketing automation tools to identify development opportunities through technology.
Campaigns. Sets up and runs digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution in order to ensure donor / supporters acquisition, conversion, engagement and reactivation and build a strong brand image and identity according to FR & Comms priorities.
Identifies objectives, KPIs, messages and audiences and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the coherent and effective implementation of these campaigns.
Monitoring and evaluation. Monitors and reports the performance of digital marketing tools, channels and campaigns and assesses against KPIs.
Carries out market research and studies analytics to understand the digital media environment, current and potential audiences’ behavior, needs, interests and motives and proposes new tools, campaigns and digital activities.
Transforms data analysis to strategy.
Community management. Responds to all requests and questions of social media audiences and cultivates relations with key influencers.
In close collaboration with the FR & Comms Director, he / she supports the development of the FR & Comms digital strategy of the organization and undertakes its implementation.
Develops and monitors the digital FR & Comms budget, forecasting performance.
Manages, edits and posts content on MSF Greece websites and social media platforms
Works with relevant stakeholders to develop and setup FR & Comms strategies on digital channels such as social media, paid search, display, native advertising, video, mobile, and other emerging channels as necessary.
Provides direction to colleagues, consultants and partners to ensure in-depth, timely analysis of all digital marketing efforts.
Works with colleagues to analyze data on our donors and behaviors and to create long-term acquisition campaigns to help grow MSF Greece’s subscriber base.
Develops and delivers guidance, training and support to colleagues in building their skills, experience and understanding of digital marketing channels and objectives.
Plans, implements and monitors digital marketing campaigns on paid channels, identifying objectives, KPIs, messages and audiences.
Identifies and takes advantage of opportunities to leverage content, operational updates and events to help meet digital marketing goals.
Develops content for end-to-end user-focused digital marketing journeys including writing persuasive ad and landing copy, selecting appropriate imagery, writing post-
conversion emails or messages as necessary.
Ensures all digital marketing content on digital channels remains within the boundaries of the MSF style guide and working principles.
Creates landing pages and forms as necessary for digital marketing campaigns.
Optimizes content and creative strategy in collaboration with media agencies.
Provides digital marketing support to colleagues developing loyalty journeys for existing donors and leads.
Builds and implements a strong segmentation, personalization, and automation plan, leading audience targeting practices and audience-
first thinking to drive recurring revenue and maximize donor retention.
Acts as senior user for digital marketing automation tools, identifying opportunities to use technology to increase conversion and support colleagues in meeting their objectives.
Works with colleagues to set up appropriate tracking across digital channels to ensure that digital marketing activity can be accurately reported on and that the metrics measured represent digital marketing objectives.
Identifies trends and insights and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights.
Discovers, researches, and tests new and emerging channels to help drive incremental revenue and new traffic.
Evaluates MSF International FR & Comms material and elaborates for online use.
Participates in briefing / debriefing sessions with expats / first missioners for communication purposes.
Manages online requests and correspondence.
Manages social media communities and cultivates a dialogue with key influencers.
Participates in a 24-hour-on-call service for social media crisis cases
Gathers and shares information on latest digital developments and best practices from across the MSF network.
Bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications or in a relevant discipline
Experience (2-4 years) in developing digital marketing strategies and campaigns in large organizations (charity sector preferred) to acquire new online donors and build awareness.
Substantial experience of managing paid digital marketing media channels
A sound understanding of digital marketing KPIs and an ability to use data to drive decision making
Excellent digital copy writing skills
Experience in Drupal background, Web Analytics, basic HTML / CSS and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere)
Ability to handle multiple projects / campaigns, drive for results, and meet tight deadlines.
Understanding of the current General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Privacy legislation.
Experience in managing vendor relationships and maximizing productivity of vendors and consultants.
Experience in training other staff
Video and audio editing skills to support content development
Able to keep up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital tactics and strategies.
Fluency in Greek and English both oral and written.
