Overall Purpose of The JobTo provide a high level of Support for the systems within the Group. Communicating with end users and helping to resolve any problems they have.

Work within the structure of the IT department and maintain a professional level of behaviours.

To travel to both vessels and offices when required and provide the necessary support. Work within the Support infrastructure and carry out the duties required from ServiceDesk support to project support.

Work within the SLA’s of external and internal customers.

Always provide excellent customer experience to both internal and external customersKey Responsibilities and TasksSupporting all VGroup Business Systems , these include in house applications and off the shelf applications used by VGroup

  • Strictly adhere to the policies and procedures put in place by the VGroup VMS and IT policy documents.
  • Provide telephone and remote support as part of the global team and maintaining a professional manner when dealing with users and peers.
  • Working with the servicedesk system to update users during the lifecycle of the request and resolve or escalate as required.
  • Attending Vessels to provide IT support to the on-board systems. Provide Telephone support to Vessels.
  • Supporting all aspects of hardware used within the Group.
  • Enforcing the IT security policy and procedures.
  • Attending remote Office Visits and providing the support required.
  • Helpdesk administration
  • Work within SLA laid down by IT management
  • Working at specified set agreed hrs to cover business needsRequired ExperiencePersonal
  • High level interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with end users in person and on the phone.
  • Good Communication skills are essential. Must be able to communicate in English both orally and via email / teams.

  • A high level of knowledge of Desktops and Laptops
  • A moderate level of knowledge of servers

  • Software

  • Windows 10 Operating system
  • Microsoft Active Directory Administration
  • Microsoft O365 all applications
  • Microsoft Azure administration
  • SharePoint Administration
  • Networking
