Athens Center of Excellence is seeking for an enthusiastic Application Support Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Diagnose, reproduce and resolve / confirm fixes for complex, critical customer problems for Unify enterprise communication / collaboration products as part of a 24x7 global, level 3 engineering support team
  • Ensure that OLA (Operation Level Agreement) thresholds for problem ticket handling are consistently met
  • Engage in critical operations tasks on customer deployments to ensure business continuity
  • Work jointly with software / quality engineering teams on improving the product quality and test scope
  • Obtain and maintain an in-depth understanding of Unify products’ technology, architecture and implementation; help transfer knowhow to level 1 and 2 support groups
  • Act as the voice of the customer towards product teams for recurring issues or feature requests
  • Education & Profile :

  • University degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science or similar discipline
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a Software / Quality / Support Engineering position, preferably within the telecommunications domain
  • Fluency in English; fluency in German is a major plus
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Work hour / shift flexibility
  • Fulfilled military obligations
  • Technical Skills :

  • Solid Programming skills in an Object Oriented language
  • Proven experience with Linux / Windows OS and virtualization platforms
  • Extensive computer networking skills
  • Working knowledge of the full application development life cycle and agile methodologies
  • Experience with development / quality engineering tooling landscape
