Job Description

The Customer Engineering IP Routing team is in charge to deliver IP solutions of Nokia to our Customers the technical solutions put in place addressing the IP Core segment, IP aggregations and access, Metro Ethernet, Mobile Backhaul.

At the same way, they address the Enterprise and Datacenters solutions with emergent applications and solution as regards Clouds&SDN, virtualization networks functions and

Convergence of the legacy networks towards IP architectures.

Job Responsibilities & Competencies

  • Gather customer requirements and translate these requirements to solutions
  • Obtain details of the customer’s current environment and the Present Mode of Operation
  • Assist in the requirements collection and for the delivery of High Level Design (HLD) and Low Level Design (LLD) documents
  • Develop Migration Strategy , Migration Design , Method of Procedures documents for migration projects involved
  • Develop and apply testing procedures and test documents
  • Perform solution, migration and software release validation , device feature validation and interoperability tests
  • Perform network audits and analyses using available tools and methodologies
  • Develop audit reports as project deliverables, identifying strengths and vulnerabilities in customer network implementation and offering recommendations
  • Define and / or help develop Professional Services scope such as Network Design Service, Network Audit Service, Network Migration / Swap Service
  • Travel on-site for customer meetings
  • Support pre-sales activities with relevant expertise as required by the account teams
  • Negotiate the corner cases with customer network architects, and provide solutions
  • Qualifications

  • BSc in Telecom / Data / Computer Networking Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English and Greek
  • At least 5 years’ experience in designing or / and implementing IP / MPLS networks
  • Experience in POC, tests, and validation
  • Good knowledge and strong background in IP technologies, Data Communication, LAN, WAN, MPLS and VPN services , QoS, IS-IS, OSPF, BGP
  • Knowledge on NOKIA (former Alcatel-Lucent) technology
  • Multivendor skills like Juniper, Cisco, Huawei
  • Good business understanding in vendor or / and operator / service provider environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, customer orientation
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
  • Strong ability to influence to get the right outcomes, being proactive and result-oriented
  • Certifications like NRS, CCIE, CCNP or 3RP, SRA will be appreciated.
