This includes operations, information technology, reservations, human resources and all other aspects of hotel operations.
Design, FF&E budgets and specifications, sales and marketing, training, asset management, and coordination of various disciplines during crucially important pre-
opening, development, acquisition and / or rebranding process are some of the key areas of expertise.
The Human Resources Manager (hereinafter referred to as HRM’) is responsible for all procedures, policies, and programs relating to the human resources of the managed properties under Epoque Collection, as well as for Epoque Collection as a Management Company.
Essential Tasks & Responsibilities :
The Human Resources Manager works with all levels of management to provide human resources expertise in all aspects of the human resources function including but not limited to team member relations, benefits, full-
cycle recruiting and workers compensation.
The HRM provides advice and guidance to team members as to Human Resources policies, procedures and team member benefits.
Manages the recruitment program from strategic planning to implementation, including team members compensation packages & benefit schemes.
Consistently evaluates the company’s recruitment program to include continued relationship building with community resources, temporary agencies and monitoring of best practices regarding recruitment strategy.
Designs HR marketing for Management company and managed properties.
Creates and implements hiring plans for all hotel departments based on year-round and seasonal needs.
Interviews and assesses job candidates.
Manages compensation and benefit plans; always in line with local labor laws and policies.
Coordinates accommodation, catering and transport for team members when necessary.
Ensures hotel team members comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
Creates & implements induction schedules for all new team members.
Responsible for the creation and implementation of all training programmes and schemes.
Monitors employee turnover rates.
Implements employee retention programs.
Keeps all team member records and documents in good manner, sets up respective filing scheme for easy access.
Acts as the point of contact when team members have queries or job-related issues.
Compiles and presents relative HR reports to higher management (Corporate & Property level).
The Human Resources Manager reports directly to the Managing Director and has an indirect reporting relationship to the General Managers of each managed property under Epoque Collection.
Experience, Skills and Knowledge :
Work experience within HR departments, preferably in the hospitality industry
BSc in Human Resources, Psychology or similar field.
Additional diploma in Hotel Management, Finance is considered a plus
Experience in conducting interviews
Understanding of labor legislation
Excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills.
Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail & quality driven excellence.
Fluent in Greek and English languages, both written and verbal. Third language is a plus.
