About the role
We’re looking for a Product Manager who will lead the development of features for the Ride Experience of users, as well as the evolution of this product domain and its teams’ structure.
The Product Manager's role at Beat is to :
Articulate what a winning product looks like.
Rally the team to build it.
Iterate on it until they get it right.
You’ll work with teams of incredibly talented designers, product owners, engineers and data scientists to build and evolve the core functionality of both sides of the marketplace, drivers and passengers.
You will be responsible for producing highly visible features for the passenger and driver apps that rely heavily on good understanding of business & user needs, overall experience of the users and plan smart ways to better tackle each market’s special demands.
On top of that, the Product Manager of this domain will take part in the strategic decisions and will be responsible for the roadmap and backlog of this vertical, having prioritisation power over what goes into production.
Great communication skills are a must, as you’ll have to align with many stakeholders and engineers in order to understand the needs of each side and bring the two together.
The ideal candidate has a metric driven approach to decisions, deep knowledge on how to use various KPIs and an analytical mindset on how to tackle complex cases.
What you'll do day in day out :
Build and own the product roadmap for the core Ride Experience product domain (multiple teams). Define a narrative for how that roadmap aligns with company-
level and regional business priorities.
Constant communication with stakeholders to better understand the needs of the operational side of the company.
Act as an ambassador for the team’s projects, both internally and externally, and as the primary technical contact for any queries related to team projects and systems.
Develop scope documents and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of Epics / User stories for implementation.
Drive innovation, research, design and planning of entirely new products and features. Challenge your cross-functional team to think boldly and channel that energy into concrete action
Clearly communicate plans, insights, data and results to a spectrum of audiences including executives, fellow product teams, stakeholders and other decision-makers across Beat.
Continuously improve and scale the organization. Implement continuous improvements to the engineering organization and the product management process.
What you need to have :
Minimum of 7 years experience as a product manager or engineering manager in B2C related projects. Alternatively, equivalent experience as an engineering manager in a software, SaaS, or systems development environment, but with strong understanding in the areas of user experience and user journeys.
Results and metrics-oriented. You create clear definitions of success and guide prioritization and ideation against that.
Focused on building businesses, not features.
A team builder and great manager. Demonstrated track record on hiring great people, building high performance teams, managing through feedback, delegation and coaching.
Strong customer empathy, with an ability to transform complex data and customer insights into a prioritized roadmap.
Good understanding of agile development methodologies will be a plus specifically, we employ well-defined variations on Scrum and Kanban throughout Beat Engineering.
What’s in it for you :

Breakfast, high quality daily lunch on a very low cost, fruit and snacks all day long
