Optimal HR Group on behalf of ELPEDISON, a leading Energy & Utilities organization, is looking to recruit a dynamic Back-office Officer .

Back office Officer will provide support to the Energy Management Division by managing the life cycle of the deals contracted by Energy Management and coordinates with other departments within and outside the division.

He / she will check settlements from TSOs, Power Exchanges, Auction Offices and other counterparties and will act for the correction of any discrepancies.

Responsibilities

  • Handle the deals' lifecycle after the closing of deals. Manage contracts and make sure payments are processed on a timely basis
  • Calculate and cross-check with counterparties invoices amounts. Prepare and control incoming / outgoing documents from approval to posting and preparation for payment
  • Coordinate with accounting for the allocation of invoices to cost centres
  • Handle all settlements from TSOs, Power Exchanges and Auction Offices in Greece and abroad. Communicate to the division and correct discrepancies in settlements
  • Track invoices payment status
  • Check past and current transactions with focus on data accuracy and maintain the ENMA records regarding deals (in excel, ETRM or other appropriate system)
  • Coordinate and submit to repositories of REMIT / EMIR compliance reports
  • Assist and coordinate with the wholesale, trading and finance teams
  • Monitor balance accounts and credit limits at Auction Offices, Exchanges and Counterparties
  • Coordinate with procurement when needed
  • Assist Treasury dpt in cash flow planning
  • Prepare customized reports on PnL
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or relevant discipline
  • At least 3 years of administrative working experience, preferably in relevant sector / area
  • Good understanding of energy business, finance and technical subjects
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Very good presentation and reporting skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly
  • Ability to effectively deal with and respond to high volumes of emails
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Team player who can also work independently
  • Quick learner, eager to explore new technology, processes, and procedures
