At Wedia, we invest in expertise when it comes to our teams and the roles of the members within them. We are one of the first digital agencies that created distinct positions for roles that are traditionally assigned to the same individual professional (eg.

UX Designer - UI Designer). For a while now, we have divided the important task of website implementation into two roles : that of the Digital Projects Delivery Manager and that of Technical Project Manager.

The Delivery Manager position puts an emphasis on the recording of the projects requirements, collaboration with the development teams and overview of deliverables.

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall organization and management of a project and its contract.

The Project Manager role at Wedia is closer to the more traditional one of IT Project Manager. The Project Manager is the first person to receive the contract for a new project and the one who will organize and orchestrate the team that will implement it.

This team is usually incorporates the Deliver Manager, UX Designer, UI Designer, Front-End and Back-End Developer.

The main responsibilities of the role include :

  • Acting as the point of contact and communication with the respective Project Manager on the part of the client,
  • Compiling and updating the Project Plan (Scrum Backlog or Gantt Chart),
  • Keeping in mind the scope, contract and pricing of the project,
  • Informing management in time about risks and / or issues that hinder the projects smooth execution or may derail its budget,
  • Organizing and participating in the meetings of the internal teams and client teams,
  • Allowing the team members to handle issues according to their roles (Requirements, Design, Technology, Content),
  • Record important decisions in Meeting Minutes and archiving all project files in appropriate structures in the tools we use.
  • The main requirement for the role of Project Manager is the ability to effectively and timely manage situations that may occur during a projects executions, such as time pressure, unclear communications, internal team balance, technological or other weaknesses, etc.
