So what’s the challenge
Financial Planning Analyst prepares budget reports and monitors institutional spending in order to determine and maintain costs.
Moreover he / she will be responsible in assisting the Budget & Planning Manager in budget preparation and in aligning with the budget process and ensuring their compliance to the company’s systems, structures and standards.
Your day to day will include :
Preparing and reviewing the monthly and year-end management accounts, annual budget and quarterly forecasts
Analyzing monthly variances of actual against prior months / budget / forecast and explains major deviations
Supporting budget owners with preparation of budget and forecast templates challenging key assumptions in line with budget targets
Analyzing and investigates variances against budgets / forecasts and provides explanations by liaising with key owners
Providing analysis, interpretation and commentary on monthly results and KPIs
Reconciling transactions by comparing and correcting data
Monitoring cost analysis process and prepares and analyzes standard and ad hoc cost reports
Identifying financial status and trends by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts, makes presentations on findings and recommends actions based on sound analysis
What you need to succeed :
BSc in Finance, Economics or Business Administration. MSc degree is desirable
2 3 years of proven recent experience in planning, budgeting and forecasting in a financial / business analyst role within a multinational or a multi divisional organization
Financial Analysis certifications (CFA, ACCA etc.) will be considered an asset
Advance working knowledge of Microsoft Office tool. Experience in using ERP systems and BI tools is desirable
High level of Integrity and professionalism
High level of accuracy with attention to detail
Strong numerical, analytical, conceptual thinking and problem solving skills
Good planning and organizational skills; ability to prioritize workload and meet strict deadlines
Compliance with Company’s Financial Code of Ethics Policy
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) both in English and in Greek language
Team worker, multi-tasking personality as well as ability to meet deadlines and stress management ability
Proficient MS Office user
Fulfilled military services (male candidates)
