About the client : This is a Berlin-based sustainable energy startup. The team of over 20 people are developing AI-driven algo-trading technology in the age of renewables to contribute to the efficiency of our power grid.

Client's mission : is to radically accelerate the industry’s transition from manual to machine-based energy trading by developing proprietary applications which process data in real-time, automate decision-making and execute orders algorithmically.

About the role : Your role will ensure that the Data Science team always has access to high-quality and concise data to develop our core algo trading models.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Analyze, develop and maintain data in close cooperation with our Data Science team
  • Create efficient data pipelines for machine learning models
  • Help set up a data lake and TL pipeline to handle data management

  • Continuously monitor and visualize data
  • Act as the company’s database administrator ensuring state-of-the-art database management
  • What you need to have :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. A Master’s degree or higher is preferred
  • Very good experience working with Python and SQL
  • Hands-on experience working with PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, and AWS S3
  • A detailed understanding of TL and data virtualization
  • Comfortable with frameworks such as PySpark and Dask
  • Applied experience with managing databases on the cloud
  • Experience with data lakes, AWS, Airflow / Dagster is a plus
  • What you can expect from us :

  • Flexible working hours
  • A friendly and inclusive team of experienced software developers, data scientists and entrepreneurs
  • Regular travels to Berlin HQ at your convenience
  • Team events and continuous learning sessions
  • A deep conviction that we can use software to make a significant contribution to the energy transition
  • Don't hesitate - Join us!
