Description

Our Partner is an established organisation operating in Greece and abroad providing basically bespoke banking and fintech apps.

As they are crrently under major growth they are to build a test centre in Greece to cover the majority of software development operations basically in EU.

They are looking nothing less than top talent. A person who s / he will support their efforts to increase automated engineεring and test driven design.

This role has the complete package; people, processes, P&L contribution. To be successful you will need to hold solid previous experience in the development of automated testing engineering team, a strong idea of test driven design and the ability to implement an automatic testing culture.

Basic Responsibilities of the Role :

  • Cooperate with the CIO to define the strategy to evolve the Test Center. Introduce new processes, standards, technologies, tools and practices in order to improve the efficiency of the team
  • Work as a strategic business partner of the Technical and Business community. Define the scope of the required testing activities as the key stakeholder in the test area.
  • Participate in the design phase of test cases in collaboration with other internal teams

  • Managing Test Center. Assign the team to task according to their expertise. Estimate and schedule all testing activities, timelines, milestones with the use of the appropriate tools.
  • Identify and manage dependencies. Track and monitor deliverables.

  • Ensure the development of the Test Plans, the execution of all the Test Cases, the Regression Testing and the planning of the test plan completion to ensure the delivery of quality software applications.
  • Maintain the overview and tracking of the overall test and quality assurance activities and assignments according to established company's governance.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors. Hold them accountable towards their positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Organise the meetings for the coordination of test activities and participate in project status meetings
  • Coordinate and support the user acceptance tests with the customers if needed. Perform "test closure" activities i.e. lesson learned .
  • Put the effort to move towards automated testing, gradually decreaing the dependancies on manual testing. This will require both a training and development approach as well as a cultural and people change.
  • Must Have :

  • Bachelors Degree / Certifications in Engineering & Technology
  • 3+ years of related leadership experience in a similar position in an IT services-related organization and 8+ years of experience in a Testing role.
  • Masters degree in a related field will be considered as an asset
  • Strong knowledge and experience of software development processes and tooling including test automation frameworks is a must
  • Excellent command of Greek and English Language
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Nice to Have :

  • Experience working as a provider in a banking-related environment will be highly appreciated.
  • Any previous IT development experience in the banking sector with emphasis in core banking host systems, issuing and acquiring
  • Knowledge of PLSQL, ORACLE, Cobol and JEE is a great advantage.
  • Testing Visa & MasterCard simulator and knowledge of POS & Base24
  • CI / CD Experience
  • Use of the agile development methodology will be considered as a plus
  • Knowledge and proven experience of SQL queries
  • Any language further to Greece and English is a great addition. Especially German and Italian
