Mobile Info Team is a group of independent volunteers providing information to asylum seekers, migrants and refugees in Northern Greece.
We assist families and individual asylum seekers by providing dedicated, long-term support during their asylum and family reunification cases.
This is an excellent opportunity to help manage a well established team who have been providing support in Northern Greece for over 3 years.
You will become the centre of the team and will be highly influential in the direction the organisation takes. This role is best suited to someone who is looking to establish themselves in the project management of refugee projects and gain international experience on the ground.
Team Coordinator with project management experience starting November 2020, 6 month contract with possible extension
The coordinator is a crucial role for the overall day-to-day functioning of the team. Mobile Info Team is sustained by a small team of volunteers who have different, yet complimentary functions.
It should come to no surprise that the coordinator coordinates their daily activities; they coordinate the activities of the different volunteers and program areas of MIT.
In this role, the coordinator will be responsible for seeing the big picture’ of the team’s overall operations and making sure that everyone is working in harmony to achieve this goal.
To this end, the coordinator should be an effective communicator in order to check-in with each team member, integrate this into the overall ethos of the team, and help facilitate communication between us all.
This requires making support available and becoming a point of reference for not only the volunteers, but also for the director, operations manager, and external partners.
It is also essential for the coordinator to have the initiative to develop systems and procedures to standardize MIT’s internal processes.
