In this Role you will be reporting to the Global Strategic Marketing Director in the Growth & Innovation team of the Strategic Office.

You will be responsible for

Strategy creation

Develops roadmaps for our key innovation growth categories and plays a key role in scouting for technologies, together with R&D’s Growth and Innovation team

Gathers learnings from previous innovation deployment and integrates them into the strategy, as well as within the innovation process

Gathers market and customer insight

Creates content & communication strategies (innovations)

Supports the definition of the innovation initiatives within each of the innovation focus areas, as well as define their objectives and timelines

Disruptive innovation

Leads disruptive innovation projects from idea generation to entry in innovation funnel until launch and roll-out

Gathers market and customer insight

Build marketing launch packs including defining a global activation playbook

Stakeholder management, frequent communication with regions & GSA

Runs communication campaigns in collaboration with Marketing Communications

Technology scouting

Coordinates the evaluation of technology scouting ideas from R&D with regions & global accounts and vice versa

Scouts for potential technology valuable for our business

Quantifies the value delivered via innovations across sectors’ VPs

Leverages innovations’ presence across regional & sectorial events

Supports the development of our Super Calculator (one tool capable of measuring operational efficiency KPIs for all portfolios & all sectors, comparing a current customer solution with a future solution)

Builds the value proposition for our focus sectors

Supports the regions and global strategic accounts in the activation of the value proposition

Sets & communicates KPIs to key stakeholders

Measurements and KPIs

Key financials are top line, gross profit and EBITDA

Incremental profitable growth per innovation

Vitality index increase

Incremental profitable growth per focus portfolio and focus sector

Delivery of key initiatives and projects according to project plans


Minimum 5, ideally 10 years marketing experience, with strong quantitative and qualitative results

Ideally 3 to 5 years innovation / product development / marketing function experience at regional or global level, desirable previous experience at country level

Masters degree level education, a plus if in relevant discipline (marketing, business, economics, engineering, chemist)

Experience in a multinational environment, ideally combination of B2B and B2B2C / B2C

Ideally experience with managing innovation globally or across geographies

Experience with creating strategies

Strong collaborator and comfortable with interaction across multiple organizational levels

English at fluent / high level, one of the other major languages is a plus

Track record of leading / driving innovation programs successfully, combining vision and entrepreneurial drive to create, drive and deliver progress and growth

Creative thinking and self motivated

Analytical skills and structured way of working

Highly customer focused (both internal and external) and ideally a good understanding of the sector / industry

Excellent communication skills

Willingness to travel worldwide
