Project management skills and experience
Committed and competent in defining research problems, based on business requirements
Experience in building production-ready chatbot-based products and related ecosystems
Proficiency with Conversational AI tools. Both cloud-based (e.g. AWS or GCP) and open-source (e.g. Rasa)
Knowledge of state-of-the-art NLP techniques and models
Effective relationship builder, with interpersonal skills, comfortably communicating with non-technical stakeholders
Proficiency with Python and machine learning tools like SpaCy, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch
Familiarity with MLOps concepts and tools, Git, Linux and public clouds, esp. AWS

Setting a meaningful R&D direction for capabilities for multiple e-learning platforms / mobile applications, such as : Conversation AI , Open response assessment, Automated educational content generation (NLG)
leads and contribute to significant parts of work in the lifecycle of the capability development

Overseeing progress of works on Conversation AI and other capabilities

About the AI Learning Capabilities (AILC) team
The AILC team at the Pearson Poznań office is a part of an international R&D unit that creates AI Learning Capabilities (i.
e. systems that use AI methods to facilitate the process of human learning). The team consists of Data Scientists, Research Engineers, and Technical Project Managers.
Our role is to :
Design, build, and continuously improve customer-facing Intelligent Learning Capabilities across Pearson.
Provide technical leadership in the application of AI at Pearson.
We specialise in two main types of intelligent capabilities :
Adaptive modelling & diagnostic capabilities that fast-track learners through a course of learning and identify struggling learners.
Natural language processing-based assessment capabilities that evaluate a learner's soft & hard skills through text or speech.
In our work, we often innovate around implementing psychometric ideas using the latest machine learning methods and prototyping innovative natural language processing methods.
