Key accountabilities and decision ownership :

  • Experience in online charging concepts of online / offline rating, charging, discounts, tariffs, promotions, bundles and buckets
  • Knowledge of the main business processes (sales channels and customer service, provision, logistics, billing, prepaid ...)
  • Satisfy local and global marketing requirements by developing an intimate relationship with the European market to deploy Commercial Offer
  • Analyze, together with the business demand areas, needs, requirements, expectations for driving innovative solutions in line with Vodafone Digitalization strategy and harmonized with the European markets
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) approach covering the full Engineering lifecycle of the CCS for fast Time To Market product launch, ensuring compliance with dates and deliverables, costs and quality
  • Drive the CCS real time architecture and SW infrastructure according to the emerging digital technologies (e.g. 5G Architecture with focus on MEC application), in line with the Digital Transformation programs across Vodafone and Vodafone Cloud strategy
  • Define, implement and control the capacity planning for CCS applications based on traffic needs, HW and SW performance monitoring and reporting
  • Define and implement new products for all traffic types and customers and future monetization scenarios (e.g 5G) towards Digital / Real Time Customer Experience
  • Contribute to define labs and production frameworks, manage deployment / configurations / testing based on CI / CD pipeline method (repository, versioning, Jenkins like), preferred to have automating testing and DevOps experience
  • Testing and acceptance of the new HW and SW releases associated to the products inside the services portfolio (define and execute test cases, monitor results, test summary)
  • Grant the quality and acceptance process to ensure the appropriate quality in the delivery phase, delivering high quality products and solutions
  • Solutions Design & Architecture Verification & Implementation, Certification & Testing activities and post deployment support
  • Providers Selection & Management
  • Lifecycle topics : Software Roadmaps, new features
  • Key performance indicators :

  • Deliver on time, quality and budget
  • Traffic dimensioning
  • Core competencies, knowledge and experience :

  • At least 4 years of experience in service monetization and real time charging
  • Strong experience in managing complex and inter functional projects, multi-cultural collaboration, Communication & Negotiation
  • Technology hungriness (love exploring technologies even if not core for the current role) and digital awareness (be an active user of digital technologies)
  • Proactivity in delivering a better future for customers and re-invent the future, customer oriented
  • Must have technical / professional qualifications :

  • BSc and / or MSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology
  • High level of written and spoken English
  • Experience in drafting technical specifications (HLD, LLD, SW development specifications)
  • Nokia solutions knowledge (Surepay, Nokia Converged Charging NCC)
  • Experience in Charging (CCS area mainly) PGW, PCRF, IN, BSS Billing stack, Value Added Services (charging API)
  • Telecom protocols knowledge (SS7, Sigtran, MAP, INAP, CAMEL, LDAP, TCAP), preferred to have SOAP, Diameter, Restful API
  • Cloud Technologies (K8s especially VMware Tanzu, orchestration, microservices, AWS, Google Cloud, KAFKA, Elastic)
  • Relevant work experience in programming for fast prototyping (ability to prototype building on components, XML, Unix / Linux scripting, Shell scripting, Python, SQL, Java, dockers)
  • Project Management, Ability to plan and organize
  • Ability to understand marketing needs and reference market evolution
  • Flexibility and positive attitude towards change
  • Analytic, creative and problem-solving mind-set
