Job Brief and Purpose

The Reservations department is responsible for handling all Reservations enquiries to sell and provide the best experience to our Guests.

  • With a detailed knowledge of the Soho House Group and its concept, you will carry out duties as directed by your managers;
  • with a professional approach towards our guests, members and other employees.

    Main Duties and Tasks

  • Deliver to our guests a total passion and commitment to excellence
  • Take full responsibility with general enquiries, reservations, correspondence and updating guest’s history
  • Fully understand the reservation system
  • To be fully aware of all reservation systems to maximize average room rate and occupancy
  • To fully understand and operate the telephone and paging systems
  • To fully understand and operate the hotel property management system
  • To fully understand the bedrooms layout as well as their features and equipment
  • To have a very good understanding of the restaurant operation
  • To fully understand the different hotel tariffs and special offers
  • Ensure good communication with all departments with guest’s special requests and feedback whether good or bad
  • To be fully familiar with the hotel layout
  • To have a very good knowledge of the surrounding area in order to assist guests with their queries
  • To have an excellent product knowledge in order to increase sales whenever possible
  • Take responsibility for Provisional Reservations, ensuring all are sorted in good time
  • Take responsibility for ensuring room-type overbookings are sorted in good time
  • Ensure Groups are dealt with in a timely manner and approved by the GM or Operations Director before drawing up correct Group Contract
  • Ability to train all Reception staff on Reservation
  • Responsibilities

  • Assist in the training / onboarding of new team members
  • Attend and participate in internal and external trainings (where necessary)
  • Wear appropriate protective clothing as needed
  • Be proactive in looking for any cost saving opportunities within the department (i.e. through controlling wastage and utilities)
  • Adhere to good safety practices and be aware of departmental HACCP, Health & Safety, Fire, Emergency and Bomb procedures
  • Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments including supporting all co-workers, treating them with dignity and respect
  • Carry out any reasonable task as requested by management and supervisors
  • Maintain the highest level of appearance at all times

  • Working quickly without compromising quality
  • Attention to detail and a structured way of working
  • Physically fit as the job involves manual labour over long hours
  • Good English & Greek language skills
