Job Summary

IT Business Partner - Science & Technology

Location : Athens / Other in Europe

Role overview :

Assess the IT landscape, business needs and leverage IT solutions to maximize S&T business value. Engage with BA Domain main representatives to understand the pain points, the levers and opportunities for IT in the Domain.

It encompasses the creation of new services for our customers through digital innovation and coordination of actions with the other IT Departments with emphasis with IT / OT and Digital Innovation teams.

The candidate will also supervise the delivery and / or manage projects, in synchronization with other IT teams , like implementing a co-engineering platform, a Scientific Knowledge Management approach or a Lims, from assessment and feasibility phase.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Contribute to the efficiency and performance of the Domain(s) / Function(s) he / she is in charge of, being the escalation and coordination level for this Domain within the BA;
  • and conversely the voice of its needs to the other IT BPs and Services teams

    Accountable for IT delivery and quality of services of the Domain in charge while ensuring the priorities of his / her business partner are managed properly by providing solutions aligned with the IT policy and Enterprise Architecture principles

    Promote, enforce and implement IT solutions to bring value to the BA(s) / Function(s) and contribute to reaching its objectives, within the architecture and the roadmap of the domain

    Be a prescriptor and advocate for global IT solutions (security, data, architecture, )

    Be accountable for IT delivery and service quality through KPIs provided, communicated, discussed with Domain business partners and enriched by interactions with Support Manager and Applications Managers for projects and other Domains IT BP Domain Managers

    Partner with business counterparts to plan new joint initiatives aligned with corporate strategy, evaluate proposals, and determine how they fit into business capability roadmaps and priorities

    Focus on business value rather than solutions to develop ideas, including digital awareness, risk assessments, business continuity, and business capability requirements

    Provide inputs and follow-up to the IT BP BA Manager about project / program budget in his / her Domain

    Collaborate to provide the inputs, to the IT BP BA Manager, of the business value realized on a periodic basis and communicate accordingly to stakeholders

    Manage the projects or actively participate on their implementation, or follow-up and collaborate with Domains’ approved projects PMs to ensure qualitative delivery

    20% of traveling is required following strictly the company's travel policy

    Qualifications& Experience


    5 years' higher education Master’s degree, engineer training

    8-10 years of functional experience in IT application, IT project management & IT business analysis

    5+ years of experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects, based on management objectives

    Relevant working experience with an overall perspective of structure, strategy, issues, etc.

    Sound knowledge and experience of working with ERPs and ability to familiarize quickly with new systems and reporting tools


    Working experience within a culturally diverse global company

    Conversant in French or another European language would be advantageous

    Strong leadership with the ability to draw and embody a strategic vision

    Flexible working hours to accommodate diverse geographic locations

    Good project management skills and ability to work well under pressure so as to meet timelines and deadlines

    Fluent in English
