So what’s the challenge

Being responsible for the proper preparation and execution of OPAP Top Management Meetings and the precise functioning of the Group’s Board so as to ensure the integrity of the governance framework, and the accurate implementation of the strategic decisions made by the Board of Directors.

Your day to day will include :

  • Supporting the Chairman of the Boards of Directors (BoDs), acting as advisor to the Group’s BoD Members and providing guidance in corporate governance issues to senior management
  • Managing the preparation of the Group’s BoDs and Shareholders’ General Assemblies (GAs) Meetings in cooperation with the operational teams of each company
  • Ensuring that the Group’s BoDs and GAs Meetings operations comply with the provisions of the applicable legal and regulatory framework and the respective policies and procedures
  • Attending the BoD’s and GAs Meetings, ensuring the due and accurate bilingual drafting of the Minutes and proceeding to their circulation
  • Communicating the decisions both to the internal as well as to external stakeholders, in order to ensure the right implementation
  • Managing the Corporate Secretariat’s team operations in regards to the translation of Minutes in two languages and maintenance and investigation of the BoDs and GAs archives in order to ensure the on time and accurate response to ongoing requests for past decisions and related material
  • Cooperating with the Chief Regulatory and Compliance Officer in terms of respective duties / obligations of the Group and providing support and advice
  • Cooperating with the Group’s teams (e.g. Internal Audit Team , IR team) and providing counseling on corporate law issues
  • What you need to succeed :

  • Bachelor in Law (LLB). Master degree will be preferred (LLM)
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in a fast paced multinational working environment or a major Law Firm in Greece or abroad
  • Proven experience in Corporate Law in listed companies
  • Member of a Greek Bar Association
  • Strong knowledge of the legal framework related to BoD and GA meetings
  • Attention to detail and high sense of responsibility, confidentiality and discretion
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Very good organizational and presentation skills
  • Ability to work efficiently both on own initiative and within a team
  • Fluency in legal English both verbal and written
