Job Description

In April 2020, our Company announced plans to consolidate our New Jersey campuses into a single New Jersey headquarters location in Rahway, NJ by 2023.

Therefore, this role will be temporarily based in a and exact timing of the departmental move to Rahway, NJ will be communicated at a future date.

The Global Vaccines Strategy group is responsible for asking and answering questions critical to our business success and public health goals.

In this function, we serve as an internal consultancy helping to deliver clarity on important choices for our long-term impact.

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to evolve cross divisional strategy in support of protecting current and future generations from preventable infectious preventable diseases.

The Director will be responsible for leading and driving several complex, high impact projects.

As a strategy group,

We create patient, customer and shareholder value by developing distinctive vaccine strategies and enabling their translation into action.

We drive alignment and collaboration across-divisions (enterprise) throughout the development, recommendations and delivery of strategies.

We create objective fact-based business strategies resulting in explicit choices and clear priorities that maximize our competitive advantage

We believe in high impact solutions derived from data analytics and insights to provide clear strategic choices

Primary Activities :

Lead strategy development across several complex ambiguous challenges and opportunities

Frame business case, trade-off choices, and risks

Create narratives

Build models and analyses that inform strategic decisions

Lead business transformation and organization change

Work closely with senior leadership on a frequent basis

Transform our ways of working to a more agile team to deliver iteratively and incrementally towards the overall vision

Build cross-disciplinary network and understanding to enable strategic decision making.

Promote transparency and visibility to work, risks, and opportunities

Build strong, open and collaborative working relationships among leadership, peers, and support teams within and outside the organization

Qualifications

Education Minimum Requirement :

Bachelor’s Degree, required

Master’s Degree, preferred

Required Experience and Skills :

The ability to build strategy from white space in a collaborative manner

Strong executive presence and communication skills with the ability to speak with candor

Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to align various stakeholders to a common goal

Confidence to work independently and successfully navigate a team through ambiguity

Strong understanding of compliance-related concepts and application in all job-related functions

Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Willingness to work on an agile team, with shared goals and accountability

Advanced skills in Powerpoint, Excel, and MS Teams

Preferred Experience and Skills :

5-10 years of management consultancy experience or experience in R&D or Manufacturing, looking to shift to a commercial role.

Experience on an agile team

People management

Strong understanding of change management

Project Management experience and / or certifications

Deep expertise in at least two of the following areas (s) : pharmaceutical industry, healthcare industry, vaccines ecosystem, marketing, or finance

Amenable to servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
