Ongoing Responsibilities

  • Delivery, coding (where needed), scan, submission (email), and reconciliation of vendor invoices. Communication with our Accenture partners.
  • Preparation of all applications to Bank of Greece for payment approvals due to capital controls.
  • Prepare actual payments through local processes and follow up for the approvals.
  • Local vendor’s payment run review.
  • Follow up on all our bank accounts, revolving loan, monitoring letter of guarantees and prepare cash forecast.
  • Management of customer postdated cheques (delivery, sign off, deposit)
  • Create synergies with Order to Cash and Finance teams.
  • Manage F / A movements (creation, deletion, changes, reconciliation, physical count)
  • Preparation, reconciliation and submission of tax forms such as monthly payroll, freelancers, constructions, foreign freelancers, quarterly contracts submission, yearly municipality tax, MYF etc
  • Preparation of annual benefits in kind list and preparation and submission of annual freelancers certificate
  • Preparation, review and approval of journal entries in accordance with work instructions under supervision and with assistance.
  • Reconciliation of monthly VAT report prepared by Tax Center of Excellence. Provide support on additional queries (perm differences etc)
  • Support account reconciliation documentation where needed
  • Close cooperation and support with Capability(shared services) center
  • Provide internal and external audit support including supporting management response and resolution.
  • Participate in month end and year end accounting processes preparing also accrual list for tax reclassification purposes.
  • Review T&E documentation, providing also support to users
  • Run standard statistical reports needed.
  • Clearing of open item managed accounts.
  • Raise accounting considerations, attend accounting meetings where needed and update existing procedural documentation.
  • Must have requirements :

  • University Degree in accounting or finance or equivalent studies (business administration)
  • Ability to employ analytical and conceptual thinking.
  • Effective communication within various levels across the organization and externally.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Experience in operating in a team based environment working on multiple tasks in changing priorities.
  • Excellent computer skills with competencies in MS applications (Excel, Word, PP Outlook) and major ERP platforms (preference SAP).
  • Candidate must be fluent (both oral and written) in English
  • Ideal Candidates Would Also Have :

  • Strong knowledge of Greek GAAP. Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS would be an asset.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in multinational company environment.
  • Working knowledge of P2P, R2R processes, tax (mainly VAT) and cash flow. Public accounting with a big firm or Internal Audit with a large Corporation is a plus.
  • Additional languages are beneficial.
