Next Generation UNIX / LINUX Platform Engineer
UNIX / LINUX IAM / Centrify and Platform Engineer will design and maintain Pfizer’s directory services for all UNIX / LINUX systems in core datacenters including AMER, APAC, and EMEA.
Provide architecture designs to include strategic Linux deployments in AWS, Azure and GCP. Subject Matter Expert managing Global NIS infrastructure critical for non-Clinical UNIX authentication and global NAS files shares for UNIX and Linux deployments.
SME ownership of BeyondTrust Powerbroker (PBRUN), Centrify Direct Authorize, and Centrify Direct Audit for granular elevated privilege management on all UNIX / Linux systems deployed on every system internally and AWS / Azure cloud-based environments.
Assemble and qualify emerging releases of LINUX Red Hat and SUSE Operating Systems with layered product build images for MSP build teams, VRA Orchestration and Agile Enterprise environments to meet requests from customers for server builds and rebuilds (physical and virtual).
Manage Centrify MFA infrastructure for authentication on Pfizer SAP environment.
Collaborate with Development, Architecture, Testing, Quality Assurance, and Operations groups to ensure Centrify Direct Control and Direct Audit infrastructure is scalable, visible, secure, highly available, efficient, flexible, and auditableUtilize Pfizer Service Lifecycle Management for all engineering solutions, upgrades, patches and updatesComfortable to communicate effectively across a matrix organization including Infrastructure, Security, Business IT teamsUnix / Linux Operating System image build creation, qualification, and integration into productionCreation of Operation Systems build not limited to multiple versions of Solaris including version 8, 9, 10 and 11 Automation / Orchestration Unix / Linux Authentication into Active Directory for Cloud Brokerage and Cloud Rapid environmentInterface with External Connectivity Services when implementing access via DMZ for external partners accessProvide and implement tactical engineering processes for existing platform technology solutions and deliver Operating System and 3rd party product updates, testing and document solutions and software deployment utilities as related to the projectResearch and track down support issues as related to the server platform and provide Root Cause Analysis to project or escalation teamsProvide guidance to application team on security best practices as related to server platformsSolaris Virtualization skills including LDOMS, Zones, Domains, and Solaris Resource Manager implementations on Oracle T-Series hardwareSymantec Veritas Storage Foundation Suite for Oracle Enterprise including : Veritas Voume Manager (VxVM),Veritas Filesystem(VxFS)Veritas Cluster Server(VCS) and Real Application Clusters(RAC) for HA clusters.
Veritas Volume Replicator(VVR)Provide SME guidance on Oracle / Sun SPARC hardware (Sun4U and Sun4V) along with Dell hardware (R730 / R930 & R740 / R940) including ILOM and iDRACOperate Oracle Ops Center 12.

Essential Qualifications and Knowledge
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)Strong experience in enterprise computing environment, name service administration AND Unix / LinuxGood understanding of Role-based Access Control model (RBAC) in the application and infrastructure access settingsKnowledge of Operating System security tools such as Sudo, PowerBroker, Solaris Security Toolkit (SST) and RBACProgramming skills in Perl, Korn Shell, TCL, PythonProficient in creating Ansible playbooks to automate operations deploymentKnowledge on administration of Red Hat Satellite 5.
