So what’s the challenge
The Retail Network Controlling Analyst is liaising with Retail and Operations teams in order to understand business needs and priorities and monitor all P&L activities of OPAP’ s Retail Network.
The role is responsible for developing business plans, benchmarking business processes against relevant KPIs and identifying business drivers and opportunities that ensure the viability of the Retail Network in line with the company strategy.
Your day to day will include :
Defining and maintaining the P&L model and database for OPAP’s Retail Network
Using of advanced statistical methods and tools in order to monitor and evaluate Retail Network P&L, propose and identify : Commercial policies and commission schemes POS segmentation and benchmarking Stores at risk of closing / exiting the Retail Network New business plans and opportunities
Ensuring that the target setting models, clustering and forecasting models are developed, tested and validated periodically
Translating business needs into technical requirements and ensuring that all tools and dashboards are developed, maintained and updated accordingly
Liaising with Technology team to ensure the availability of relevant information in DWH tables for current and upcoming business needs
Liaising with product managers to understand upcoming product prospects
Ensuring all internal customers are well informed and trained on relevant tools and processes
What you need to succeed :
BSc in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or other relevant field. MSc in Data Science is preferable
At least 3 years of working experience in Retail or Finance teams within a fast-paced environment. Experience in gaming industry will be considered as an asset.
A minimum of 3 years of proven experience and in-depth knowledge of SQL, SAS, R, Python or SPSS Modeler in Machine Learning concepts
Robust knowledge of Data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau or Power BI)
Proven track record in analyzing and interpreting data and providing actionable insights
A strategic and creative thinker with a highly numerical and logical approach to decision making and problem solving
Results driven and self-motivated with passion, energy and a positive attitude
Customer service excellence with accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines
A genuine team player able to effectively collaborate with a diverse group of people
Excellent communication & presentation skills both in English and Greek (written and oral)
Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Fulfilled military obligations (for male candidates)
