For our European team, we 're looking for a Customer Project Buyer in order to support the key company deals for our customer located in Europe.
This role is key in reaching profitable growth as Customer Project Buyer is the Sourcing representative within customer projects.
As such, it is in contact with the Sales & Pre-Sales teams, Support teams (i.e. legal, Tax, Export,..), Telecom Sourcing Expert, and is part to the pre-
sales or post-sales team, to identify and address sourcing related to Telecom and non Telco commodities & access.
Supports Customer Pre-Sales and Post-Sales project & teams in order to identify and address sourcing needs & constraints across Customer Project phases
Is accountable in front of project team for all sourcing deliverables (timely delivery, quality & competiveness) in his / her scope of responsibilities, as per engagement model
Depending on project scope : Ensure early involvement through pipeline management with stakeholder and through SACO during funnel phase.
Ensure early and appropriate involvement of buyer (Telco, Local, Cdty, ASE..) within project scope to qualify project sourcing needs and plan for resource mobilisation.
Own sourcing qualification with project team to set up and define sourcing priorities segmentation of project needs, make or buy, risk analysis, critical path analysis and resource planning)
Builds, validates and executes the project sourcing action plan (depending project phase) per commodity and supplier taking into consideration project constraints, buyers & commodity inputs, relevant tools and guidelines (SACO, PMTool, Salesforce + basic Webalc understanding, delegation and engagement model, RACI matrix).
Contributes to cost and specification optimization in collaboration with commodity buyer and Access Sourcing Expert through relevant RACI matrix
Negotiates directly or through delegated buyer specific terms & conditions (including intellectual property, project deliverables, penalties, SLAs) on top of existing contracts when relevant.
Monitors progress and achievement for delegated commodities and escalates to sourcing management if needed (ultimately to supplier).
Contracts and implements
Secures Business Case and Profitability (risk assessment, mitigation, protection, back to back contract delivery) and issues recommendations to stakeholders and sourcing management
Communicates and promotes usage of selected suppliers and negotiated contracts amongst project teams.
Provides relevant, accurate and consolidated sourcing deal inputs and recommendation at key deal stage
Informs management proactively about potential issues.
Liaises with bid team daily and with sourcing domains (Local & Global Commodities and Telco Commodities) to ensure relevant sourcing input to customer project team
