The R&D Engineer conducts target-oriented research to directly apply findings to the specification, design, further development, and gets involved to incremental improvement and implementation of products, services, systems, tools, processes, etc.
Integrates, verifies, tests, and modifies SW components and capitalizes on innovative solutions to meet particular requirements and specifications.
Your skills and experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
Broad interest in the Telecom sector and conceptual knowledge of networks.
5 years of relevant experience in Software Development OOP .
Proven ability to work with others to meet common objectives and customer expectations.
Passion to explore and work on the new technologies
Can identify improvement opportunities and implement necessary changes.
Excellent written and oral communication, being able to work in multi-national and multi-site environment.
Technical skills & preferred qualifications
Excellence in object-oriented programming.
Networking knowledge e.g. TCP / UDP, Netconf / Yang knowledge .
Strong knowledge of operating system architecture such as memory management, concurrent memory access, event driven programming.
Unit and Module testing concepts and practices, Coverity.
Familiar with Mercurial SCM and or GiT (gerrit / gitlab)
Linux OS and its deployment in virtual environments.
Familiar with CI / CD (continuous integration / delivery), Release automation (Jenkins, etc), system administration, system configuration, and system debugging experience.
Would be considered a plus
Understanding XML and schema concepts. Data model language (yang) and XML / XSLT for data base migration
knowledge of operating system architecture such as memory management, IPC, scheduling, task switching, concurrent memory access, event driven programming
