Optimal HR Group on behalf of its client, a leading Energy & Utilities organization, is looking to recruit an experienced Natural Gas Supply Analyst.
The Natural Gas Supply Analyst will play an important role handling the supply of natural gas for the consumption of the company following the overall strategy set at Management level.
Optimizing the company’s gas supply portfolio through the various gas sources the company has access to, based on the terms of the relevant commercial arrangements (prices, ToP obligations, quantities, etc.)
Providing support in negotiating gas contracts necessary for, and related to, the procurement and delivery of natural gas in a cost effective and reliable manner in order to help ensure the successful operation and dispatch of the company’s power generation facilities
Assisting with the contract approval process, which may include preparation of legal documents. Preparing, organizing, and maintaining contract records in database
Performing natural gas market analysis utilizing industry fundamental analysis to research market dynamics and monitor market, industry and pricing trends
Assisting in developing and recommending plans for short- and long-term gas supply strategies designed to ensure the dual objectives of cost minimization and security of supply.
Monitoring market conditions and other variables, which influence pricing, availability and supply reliability
Assisting in LNG imports and the price review of LNG contracting activities, performing economic modelling of long-term and short-term LNG contracts and developing and maintaining LNG supply and demand forecasts models
Providing essential data, and participates in natural gas accounting, budgeting, information management and reporting
Preparing, organizing and electronically maintaining contract records; validating terms and conditions to comply with company policies, procedures and best practices;
providing regular reporting on such items as renewals, terminations and extensions as assigned
Developing ability to perform cost-benefit analysis, preparing statistical analysis and reports as required. (Weekly, Monthly, Semi-annual & annual Reports)
Managing notifications and approvals related to execution of transportation and storage agreements
Assisting with maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as gas supply counterparties, Natural Gas System Operators, Legal, Audit, Procurement & Finance departments
Graduate degree in Engineering or Economics
MBA or relevant post-graduate degree in Economics, Finance (optional)
2-3 years of relevant working experience in relevant sector / area
Experience in natural gas markets operation and Contract administration skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent presentation and reporting skills
Strong analytical skills
Very good knowledge of MS Office applications
Excellent command of the English language
