We support recruitment for an American company - a provider of distributed data and streaming platform that delivers consistent, transactional decisions while maintaining uptime and durability.

They are engaged in resolving problems in distributed computing, performance, scaling and transactional consistency so that their customers can get fast, correct decisions on their streaming and at-rest data.

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Support Engineer to join a team that helps their customers who are the users of the data platform which is the internal product of the company.

You will join an international team, with Support Engineers on multiple continents. There will be extra-paid on-calls every 8 weeks.

Salary : 15 000 - 19 000 PLN net B2B; possibility to work on perm (UoP)

Location : 100% remotely from Poland,

Recruitment : 1st Interview with one of the Support team members (45 minutes chat) ->

2nd more advanced interview with Hiring Manager with some technical questions (up to 1h).

Responsibilities

  • Using the correct operational procedures, and common issues to resolve customer incidents and answer questions
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical problems
  • Setting up and conducting tests in the cloud to reproduce customer issues or validate fixes
  • Collaborating with the Engineering team and forwarding complex issues to them
  • Responding to customer support requests and replies in Zendesk
  • In some cases joining Zoom meetings to assist with urgent issues
  • Writing knowledge base articles on common questions or known issues
  • Logging bug tickets for defects encountered by customers
  • Tracing errors in the source code using basic Java skills
  • Desired experience :

  • 7+ years experience in a technical customer-facing role
  • 5+ years of experience with supporting products like databases, Kafka, or distributed systems running on Linux
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing data and / or log files.
  • Familiarity with using scripting or command-line tools for analysis
  • Familiarity with distributed systems
  • Troubleshooting or optimizing the performance of Java applications
