Optimal HR Group on behalf of its client, an International Transport & Logistics company, is looking to recruit a Business Development Executive.

The primary purpose of the Business Development Executive is to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers.

Responsibilities

  • Generating business leads and following up on sales opportunities
  • Conducting ongoing market research to strengthen industry existing and new customers
  • Cold calling potential customers and building relationships
  • Establishing customer needs and selling services accordingly
  • Working to weekly and monthly sales targets and KPI’s
  • Arranging meetings with clients
  • Managing client requirements & objectives within deadlines
  • Working closely with other teams to develop new business
  • Identifying current customer / market demands, trends, and potential threats
  • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
  • Ad hoc collaboration with logistics and warehouse departments
  • Attending industry events & conferences in order to generate business lead
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience ideally from a company in the same or similar industry (Logistics, cargo, transportation sector)
  • Excellent command of the English Language
  • Efficient use of MS Office
  • Must be self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed
  • Well organized with previous experience using CRM systems
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • Very good time management
