Role Purpose :

Scrum Master is an agile practitioner, potentially shared between two squads, with the purpose to provide support and facilitation of teams in their agile journey.

Being responsible for optimizing team’s performance and evangelizing agile practices, a Scrum Master has to identify and remove impediments to improve team performance.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership :

  • Monitors and optimizes the application of agile practices throughout way of working and deliverables
  • Facilitates agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives and ensure the proper usage of tools
  • Works alongside the team as team member to as a servant leader to ensure the continuous collaboration, delivery, reflection and improvement of the team
  • Supports and promotes team in delivering high quality deliverables and responding to change
  • Tracks and manages risks, issues and improvement backlog ask as team’s liaison
  • Proposes, maintains and owns team’s performance metrics to help transparency and team improvement
  • Promotes team’s transparency and coordination with other teams, stakeholders, and partners to manage risks, interdependencies and impediments
  • Supports the Product Owner in ensuring right-sized story writing, aligning priorities, and planning sprint iterations
  • Tracks, reports and communicates status delivery, changes in direction, and relevant metrics to avoid misalignment and roadblocks.
  • Acts as an organizational enabler in the adoption of agile practices within the organization
  • Coaches and mentors team members on succeeding on their agile journey.
  • Functional Skills, Credentials & Experience :

  • MSc or BSc in Business Studies combining technical savviness
  • Experience and knowledge of the Telco industry is highly preferred
  • 2-3 years of work experience in at least one discipline in a multitier environment
  • Experience in designing and delivering complex capabilities
  • Knowledge of the web & mobile application industry and services will be a plus
  • Understanding digital and physical operations from customer facing functions to back office
  • Experience in agile software development environment and methods will be an asset
  • Strong grounding in traditional project management practices

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and working in fluid, fast changing environments under pressure
  • Good understanding of the business capability / user journey, wider organizational goals, and desired product business outcomes
