Air Mediterranean SA is seeking for Ground Operations Manager

Air Mediterranean is an Airline in Greece, founded in 2015 and based in Athens. Air Mediterranean is designed around maximizing safety and efficiency in deployment of its network.

The airline and its staff are dedicated to providing a high level of customer service and efficiently meet the needs, safety and comfort of the passengers.

Main responsibilities as Ground Operations Manager at Air Mediterranean will mainly be :

  • Ensure the safe, punctual and economic operation of all company flights by contracting out for ground handling of company aeroplane, of their load, of flight / cabin crew, of passengers and cargo at all airports that the company operates to.
  • In co-operation with the Safety & Security Manager, ensure all required measures are taken for the safety & security of the aeroplane, passengers and baggage, along with the Authority and the authorities responsible for airports security.
  • Monitor any contractor employed by Air-Mediterranean and ensure that they meet the required standards.
  • Ensuring that the organization, management and resources of the Ground Operations Department are appropriate to the required task and that all staff is properly trained in their duties.
  • Ensure training programs are accomplished by contracted ground handling companies which enable their ground personnel to safely and professionally conduct all ground handling.
  • Ensure that all legal requirements and the provisions of the AOC relating to ground operations are strictly observed.
  • Act as the company’s representative to all authorities (for ground operations).
  • Provide support to the Compliance Monitoring Manager in the performance of the established procedures.
  • Co-operate with the Slot Coordination Center of the countries the company is operating to arrange the airports slots according to the commercial schedule
  • Candidate Profile (Minimum Requirements)

  • At least 3 years’ experience in the airline industry in similar position is mandatory.
  • Excellent computer skills, with full knowledge of Microsoft office.
  • Advanced communication skills.
  • Effective Negotiation Skills
  • High proficiency / fluency of the English language in conversation, reading, and writing.

  • The ability to work with others and support the overall team.
  • Good knowledge of SLOT messages and SITA text is required
