Optimal HR Group on behalf of its client, a leading Energy & Utilities organization, is looking for an experienced Building Automation Systems Engineer (Mechanical - Electrical Engineer).

The role will be responsible for supporting the installation and modification of building automation and energy management control infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Formulating business case per project / customer
  • Designing and configuring technically complex Building automation Systems as defined by the project documents
  • Creating flow diagrams, sequence of operations, network layouts and electrical schematics as required
  • Designing and developing panel layouts, network layouts, wiring diagrams per customer and / or company standards
  • Selecting material including Direct Digital Controls (DDC) field sensing and controlling devices, dampers and valves to meet the project requirements, specifications, codes and customer standards
  • Programing DDC modules to meet exact sequence of operations
  • Programing and configuring integration between multiple vendors using open and proprietary software
  • Configuring system database for reporting, alarming and monitoring of Building Automation systems
  • Choosing the appropriate mix of products and installation methods, to provide the most cost effective solution
  • Handling the ordering of all required products and equipment
  • Acting as a technical resource to team and customer as needed. Presenting to the customer the suggested technical solution, being ready to use the appropriate technical argumentation and substantiation
  • Participating in initial job site walk-through with contractors and / or building management
  • Creating unique design solutions to meet specific customer requirements. Designing building automation systems for large and / or complex buildings consisting of mechanical system layouts, electrical drawings, bill of materials, sequence of operations, to effectively meet the required specs and contract documents
  • Overseeing the creation of system graphics
  • Ordering and tracking all required products and materials for timely delivery on the job site. Performing field activities as necessary
  • Formulating business models or / and business analysis depending on the needs
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical / Electronic Engineering from a University
  • A Master’s degree is needed
  • At least 3 to 4 years of experience in an organized techical consultating or industrial environment
  • Experience in implementing & training of energy management projects
  • Very good command of the English language
  • Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft programs
  • Excellent organisational & project management skills
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Cooperative & team player, focus on results, hands on & can-do attitude
